This is a bug report for perl from loic_leloarer@sdesigns.eu,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.36 running under perl 5.10.0.

Hi,

I have a code which is working correctly on perl 5.8.8 but not on perl 5.10.0.

I have reduced the affected code to the minimum to generated a reproducable
test case.

If you save the following script with the name test.pl:
-----------
#!/usr/bin/env perl
use warnings;
use strict;

my $cond_re = qr/\s*
     \s* (?:
          \( \s* a([0-9]) \s* > \s* 0 \s* \) (?{[1, $1]})
        | \( \s* -- a([0-9]) \s*          \) (?{[2, $2]})
        )
    /ox; # result is in $^R after matching

while (my $line = <>) {
    print $line;
    if ($line =~ m/$cond_re/gc) {
    my $cond = $^R;
        if (defined $cond) {
            print $cond->[0],":", $cond->[1],"\n";
        }
    }
}
----------

and those two lines in the test.asm file:
----------
(a1 > 0)
(--a0)
----------

and execute the following command:
./test.pl test.asm

You get the following expected result with perl 5.8.8:

(a1 >0)
1:1
(--a0)
2:0

While you get the following wrong result with perl 5.10.0:

(a1 >0)
(--a0)
2:0

Can you help me on this problem ? Is it really a bug in perl 5.10 ?
Is there a workaround ?

Thank you in advance.
Best regards
Loïc
