Indeed. There seem to be at least four different sets of patches (or  
ed scripts in that case) floating around that add dtrace probes to sub  
calls.

My interest is in

a) integrating it all nicely so you can just add an option to Configure

b) minimising the performance hit.

All the extant patches slow sub calls down by between 10% and 20%. The  
real world hit is far smaller; as soon as you actually do something in  
the sub the execution time dwarfs the call time - but I'd still like  
to get it faster if possible. And definitely better integrated.
