This is a bug report for perl from jaalto@cante.cante.net,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.35 running under perl v5.8.8.

In POD, when there is text like:

	http(s) call

The pod2html thinks this is a reference to
a Unix manual page like ls(1) and writes to the HTML:

	<code>http(s)</code> call

SUGGESTION

Please add stricter check how to detect the manual page
references. The text in parentheses housl require a starting number,
like regexp:

	\S+(\d[A-Za-z])

Which will match

	ls(3C)
	ls(1)
	ls(1M)
