It is very easy to do this in the pure Perl module (<POOF> it is already done, minus new tests to confirm that it works the way I expect it to). I have to look at how hard it will be to do the equivalent in C/XS code (which is what gets put into in bleadperl). I appreciate the feedback, even it it does mean more work for me. ;-) I want version objects to be as transparent to the user as possible, while still taming the beast that is $VERSION handling going back to at least 5.005_04...
