Hmmm...I get

steve@kirk:~/perl-current$ ./perl -e 'printf "%lld\n", 3000000000'
-1294967296
steve@kirk:~/perl-current$ ./perl -e 'printf "%d\n", 3000000000'
-1294967296

Is this what I should be seeing with my 32-bit CPU?
