I have submitted change 23909 to the development branch of perl.
Note that we are on 5.9.2 currently, and your patch was against 5.9.1

I'd much prefer you to re-sync with the current state of affairs, and check if
what I submitted still works as what you planned it to do.

Also note that changes to Configure are never (when done right) applied to
Configure itself, since this is a generated file, so patches are always done
by hand, and the final change may or may not be *exactly* what you proposed as
patch
