This was the fix to check Config for signal availability. Version 1.04
still does that.

Right. I guess I forgot to mention that. The patch was only provided as a
summary of the major changes. The tarball is "authoritative"; it now also
has the Foo'Bar fix form above.

Yeah, the todo test may pass sometimes, and on some architectures, but not
always. As the test comment indicates it is necessary for the system to do
its auto-reaping for this test to pass. However I am not aware of any way of
knowing when this has occurred and therefore have not seen it pass reliably.
