Sure, but you only set $SIG{CHLD} if 'CLD' is in the signal list, 
similarly for $SIG{CLD} which you only set if 'CHLD' exists. Shouldn't you 
be setting $SIG{CHLD} if 'CHLD' is an allowed signal?
