MM in maint@21251 breaks mp2
Message ID:

Suddenly MM started to provide a value for 'ld' which isn't the same as the
one reported by Config.pm (it provided no value before):

Here is the test script: (mm)

     require ExtUtils::MakeMaker;
     my $mm = bless {}, 'MM';
     $mm->init_others;

     for (qw(rm_f mv ld)) {
         my $val = $mm->{"\U$_"};
         print "$_ => $val\n";
     }

with maint@21251:

% perl-5.8.1 mm
rm_f => rm -f
mv => mv
ld => ld

before (a few days ago) it was:

%
perl-5.8.0 mm
rm_f => rm -f
mv => mv
ld =>

so it didn't provide the wrong value and no value at all. What's wrong?

Here is the output of perl -V:
