Hello,

I don't knwo if this is a bug, but at leats it is a problem
I try to compile Authen-Smb-0.91
and i get the following message
app_beh<XSW12:/home/users/app_beh/Authen-Smb-0.91>make
        cd smbval && make LIB="" LIBPERL_A="libperl.a" LINKTYPE="dynamic"
PREFIX
="/home/app_beh/local" OPTIMIZE="-g"
        cc -c  -D_ALL_SOURCE -D_ANSI_C_SOURCE -D_POSIX_SOURCE
-qmaxmem=16384 -q3
2 -D_LARGE_FILES -qlonglong -g    -DVERSION=\"0.10\"  -DXS_VERSION=\"0.10\"
-I/
home/app_beh/local/lib/perl5/5.6.1/aix/CORE  smblib.c
"/usr/include/sys/types.h", line 455.25: 1506-245 (S) Incompatible sign
adjectiv
e "unsigned".
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.

Stop.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 2.

Stop.
app_beh<XSW12:/home/users/app_beh/Authen-Smb-0.91>

when I look in  /usr/include/sys/types.h
I see the following
typedef uchar_t         uchar;
and this is above this line of code definned as
typedef unsigned char   uchar_t;

then I started to look in smblib.c
which also defines a variable with the same name
#define uchar unsigned char

I tried thsi with perl 5.6 and 5.8 but I get the same error
The os is aix 4.3.3

Can I comment the line in smblib.c out???

With friendly regards
