So, Radu Greab found the pw_comment bug (patch attached).

But as people trying out their cygwin setups find out, cygwin is
a tricky platform.  As the first thing I recommend running the upgrade
from www.cygwin.com, so that we at least know that we're not fighting
with some old bugs.  (This way we might get some new ones, of course.)

I try to keep my cygwin setup (1.3.22) at work "vanilla" as possible,
but apparently some update had managed to broke the getpw*_r().
I believe that _at_least_in_my_setup_ that was the the only problem
(which did break I think six different tests, though).
