This is a bug report for perl from jimc@harpo.jimc.earth,

generated with the help of perlbug 1.34 running under perl v5.9.0.

make test on bleadperl drops 1 test

$> perl charnames.pl 

Unknown charname 'e_ACUTE' at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.0/unicore/Name.pl line 3

Unknown charname 'a_ACUTE' at charnames.pl line 3

$> perl5.9.0 charnames.pl 

.. no reported error

$> more charnames.pl 

# alias with nonexisting file

use charnames ":full", ":alias" => "xyzzy";

"Here: \N{e_ACUTE}\N{a_ACUTE}!\n";

 

Ive been getting this for some time now with bleadperl, apologies for not reporting earlier..
