This is a bug report for perl from root@cerebro.laendle,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.34 running under perl v5.8.1.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
[Please enter your report here]

In the "current" 5.8.x tree, calling methods with an empty name
result in error messages containing a binary zero:

 $ perl -e '&{""}'   2>&1|xtype
 00000: 556e6465 66696e65 64207375 62726f75  Undefined subrou
 00010: 74696e65 20266d61 696e3a3a 00206361  tine &main::. ca
 00020: 6c6c6564 20617420 2d65206c 696e6520  lled at -e line
 00030: 312e0a00 00000000 00000000 00000000  1...............

At offet 0x1c there is a binary zero where there shouldn't be one (5.8.0
doesn't show this behaviour). Longer method names result in correct
behaviour.
