This is a bug report for perl from perl-5.8.0@ton.iguana.be,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.34 running under perl v5.8.0.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
[Please enter your report here]

perl -wle '$a->{x}||=do{delete $a->{x}; 2}'
Attempt to free unreferenced scalar.

The bug may however be in do, since this does not bug:

perl -le 'sub foo{delete $a->{x}; 2}; $a->{x}||=foo(); print "val=$a->{x}"'
val=

(notice by the way that this is what you expect if you know what perl does on
the stack, but someone just reading perldoc perlop for the meaning of ||=
would probably expect this to print 2. Maybe a doc update is in order ?)
