This is a bug report for perl from dt@vosat.de,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.34 running under perl v5.8.0.

	Out of memory!
	zsh: exit 1     perl -e '$x[2**29]=1'

This error is expected.

	danielt@knast:~> perl -e '$x[2**30]=1'
	zsh: bus error (core dumped)  perl -e '$x[2**30]=1'

But this isn't.
