Thanks for doing this Jarkko. I know it'll be appreciated by DBI
installations that use timeouts around connects and executes.
(I've only had a few queries about this so far, but big production
DBI users tend to lag perl versions. I'll be officially desupporting
use of perl 5.5 with the DBI soon and that'll accelerate perl upgrades.)
It is, of course, important that this work gets included in future
maintainance releases of exisiting safe-signal perls.
