I receive a few mails with comments, but nobody wrote me telling that 
he had actually tried the patch or looked at the implementation. I think 
that it is a pity that the idea ends in nowhere, because for large 
projects, assertions are a very helpful tool to find bugs and improve 
the quality of the software. And then there is the interaction with the 
debugger that is really cool.

Well, I just would like to ask you again to take a look at the patch and 
send back your comments.
