The problem I reported here:

is still a problem at 13911.

$ ./perl -wle 'open(FOO, ">&STDOUT") or die $!;  print <FOO>'
Filehandle FOO opened only for output at -e line 1.
*hangs*

means warnings.t hangs on FreeBSD.
