Checking how to access stdio streams by file descriptor number...
I can't figure out how to access stdio streams by file descriptor
number.

The last line there shows up on all of my x86 linux boxen: Slackware 8.0
(kernel 2.4), debian 2.2 (kernel 2.2), and redhat 6.2 (kernel 2.2).

I remember a discussion from many months ago where it was said that
Linux ought to be able to access stdio streams by file descriptor
number. But from what I see, it can't.

If I'm off my rocker, sorry for the time waste. This has been on my
mind for some time now.

R.
