[ID 20010823.012] Core dump when redefining sort sub
Message ID:
200108231627.f7NGR8K19698@mintaka.iern.disa.mil

This is a bug report for perl from gamma@mintaka.iern.disa.mil,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.33 running under perl v5.6.1.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Perl gives a segmentation fault and core dump when redefining
sort subroutine and calling it via goto &NAME. E.g

@sorted = sort foo @myarray

sub foo {
  goto &sortsub
}

sub sortsub{
#sort code
}

Could be related to bug 8758. Checked op.c and noticed redefining
sort sub supposed to be illegal. However, warning message is not
printed.
