(I sent something like this out a couple of weeks ago, but had a broken mail configuration at the time, and never saw it reach the list.) I'm looking towards writing an add-on for MakeMaker to bundle with my RPM library, to the end of making "rpm" and "srpm" targets available in the generated Makefile. I seem to remember remarks that the MakeMaker mailing list wasn't really active anymore, so I am looking for ideas on how to go about this. I don't want to provide declarations for MY::* routines, as that would prevent people from using them within their Makefile.PL files. Is there a way to hook new stuff into MM on this sort of conditional basis? It doesn't look like it, from viewing the code. And I'm not exactly eager to take up a wholesale hacking effort on MakeMaker itself. Randy -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randy J.
