Help needed: Storable-1.0.10 on Win* platforms

I have received repeated build failures of Storable-1.0.10 on Win*
platforms, with various Perl versions (this morning with 5.6.1-TRIAL2).

Unfortunately, Win* platforms are completely alien to me. Could
someone with knowledge and access to such platform tell me what I
should do to fix Storable?

The typical errors reported are:

Storable.xs(1028) : warning C4133: 'function' : incompatible types - from
'char [32]' to 'struct IPerlStdIO *'
Storable.xs(1028) : warning C4133: 'function' : incompatible types - from
'char [12]' to 'struct _PerlIO *'
Storable.xs(1028) : warning C4047: 'function' : 'const char *' differs in
levels of indirection from 'const int '
Storable.xs(1028) : warning C4024: 'function through pointer' : different
types for formal and actual parameter 3
Storable.xs(1028) : error C2100: illegal indirection
Storable.xs(1028) : warning C4133: 'function' : incompatible types - from
'char [25]' to 'struct IPerlStdIO *'
Storable.xs(1028) : error C2198: 'function through pointer' : too few
actual parameters
Storable.xs(1028) : error C2100: illegal indirection

Line 1028 is an ASSERT() macro, which is compiled by error. [thanks
Win2k, I would not have spotted this without you]
