There is a #ifdef PERL_FLEXIBLE_EXCEPTIONS forest in the sources
which does not seem to be on by default.

A. Is anyone testing/using it these days?
B. Is its designer still listening to this list?

I am wondering why it was not designed so that "normal" use just did
not store a Perl_thow_with_longjmp() in the function slot.
To do that the thow function needs to be passed an arg which allows
access to the (sig)?jmp_buf.
