Not that I know of. CPAN has Socket6, but I haven't looked at it
(whether it e.g. overrides the core socket functions) (I am ashamed
to admit that I don't remember enough of the v6 changes to say whether
this would be feasible in the first place.)

5.6.x, highly unlikely. The 5.6 is in maintenance mode which means
among other things No New Features. 5.7.x, within the limits of
possible. But someone who knows IPv6 should work on it.
