[PATCH: 6948] hints/solaris_2.sh 64-bit oddity
Message ID:

On SunOS orasun 5.8 Generic sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4, building 6948:

[...]
Try to use 64-bit integers, if available? [n] y

Try to use maximal 64-bit support, if available? [n] y
Your platform has some specific hints for 64-bit builds, using them...
./Configure: ./UU/workshoplibpth.cbu: not found

To fix the following error, I made the following patch, which makes it
report the error:

Full 64-bit build not supported by this gcc configuration.
Cannot continue, aborting.

Which is much more informative than before. I'm not terribly sure if this
is the right way to patch this, but it seems to work. The error doesn't
appear if I choose [n] at maximal 64-bit support.

R.
