The following caught my eye: http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/comment/0,5859,2608991,00.html CLI is Microsoft's VM for C#. And according to Microsoft: While Java's VM is Java-specific, CLI is intended to be language-agnostic. C# is just one language that can be compiled into CLI bytecodes. According to Microsoft, 15 languages for CLI are under development, including Perl, Python and Visual Basic. Say what? Are they just writing a C compiler for CLI? Is this just clueless marketing vapour? What is the story, and should someone official issue a press release denying the claim?
