I'm on SPARC Solaris 7 with gcc 2.8.1 I tried 5.6.0-RC2 I answered 'y' to the long doubles question to see what would happen. I got this: > I do not see the Sun Workshop compiler; therefore there is no libsunmath.so; > therefore I cannot do long doubles, sorry. Cannot continue, aborting. That's rather harsh, isn't it? Can't you just fallback to a 'n' answer rather than aborting!?! Or, don't even ask that question if we've already told you that we're building with gcc? -- - - Martin "Kingpin" Thurn mthurn@tasc.com Research Software Engineer (703) 793-3700 x2651 The Information Refinery http://tir.tasc.com TASC, Inc. http://www.tasc.com A death mark's not an easy thing to live with. -- General Rieekan, The Empire Strikes Back
