One of the fixes I did was mentioned by Moore, Paul [Paul.Moore@uk.origin-it.com] recently on perl5-porters, in his quite good investigation of modules builds: (start of quote about Tk) 3. It seems that the panic() function clashes with Perl's. Check... (end of quote about Tk) I just commented that line and compiled Ok.
