Sorry to be picky, but this *isn't* a 64 bit perl, it's a 32 bit perl
with largefile support and long longs for integer values.  Around here
'64 bit' means LP64, i.e. a 64 bit address space.  Jarkko, is it too
late to change the Configure flag?  I think '-Duse64bits' is very
confusing - it doesn't mean what it appears to say.
