Not hardly.

The tone of the list is shaped by the lack of respect of the members
for each others view points. There is an assumption of stupidity or
ignorance. Usually the assumption is fairly accurate on all sides.

It is much easier to be polite about a subject that does not affect
your daily life.

It is much more important to be polite about a subject which does
affect your daily life.
