HPUX 9.1 m68k libm.a

Hi !

perl5.001 compiled well (99%) on my 9000/m68040 apollo HP-UX9.1 .
Now I need som newer features and tried perl5.005_03 compilation.
My hpux-m68k configuration  --- which is _not_ supported in README.hpux ---
stops compilation with following error:

since /lib/libm.a _has_ a symbol table (strip<->ar ts), I am not
shure wether the problem is a (known?) bug in the /lib/libm.a or a
problem with the perl-code. May be some options were not set properly?

Any hints?
