I have so far been the "UNICOS man" looking after the UNICOS port of Perl, I have access to a C90 running UNICOS 9.0.1ai. Perl 5.005_62 tested out fine. Now, however, the site is ending their C90 contract and in a week their electricity bill will be much lower :-) Therefore and thusly: if somebody has access to Crays please step forward and be prepared to test new developer (and maintenance) releases as they come out. Both UNICOS and UNICOS/mk would be fine. I know that UNICOS should work okay. For UNICOS/mk (the microkernel variant of UNICOS run on the Alpha-powered T3X series) I see that we have some unresolved problem reports, so be prepared to do some debugging if you plan to play there. Plan B: if somebody has a Cray to spare and money to cover the rewiring and electricity bills, please donate it immediatement to Kurt's basement for the Perl Labs :-) -- $jhi++; # http://www.iki.fi/jhi/ # There is this special biologist word we use for 'stable'. # It is 'dead'. -- Jack CohenThread Next
