A system with visual clues would simply not have bothered to support
this particular output medium in the first place.

The confusion stems from a renderer that is not quite sure how much
fontification is available in plain text and whether it makes sense to
emphasize "fixed width" text in some other way when all text is fixed
width.

The idea is that the first face shown to people is one they can readily
accept - a more traditional logo. The lunacy element is only revealed
