"Perhaps it should be zapped" was not what you were implying. Some
vague statement like this is exactly what I remember. Moreover, it
could have been retracted after the 'die if $^S' construct was
mentioned in the same thread.
I find it helpful to keep in mind that after (?) the Rule 1 was
created, the opinions Larry expresses on this forum are very much
subdued. It looks like he is explicitly wording his opinions in such
a way to make it harder to apply Rule 1 until he explicitly requires
this. ;-)
