PAUSE previously treated package names case-insensitively when considering permissions, but we realised this caused problems on operating systems with case-insensitive filesystems, such as Windows and MacOS (until APFS). So I’m working through the historical cases on CPAN, trying to resolve them so there aren’t any clashing package names.

I’ve been unable to contact Christopher, so given that he hasn’t released anything since 2008, I’ve dropped his permissions on the internal “microarray” package. Assuming it’s never released again, I think this is enough. I also raised an RT ticket about this, so it’s flagged should someone else want to do a release at some point in the future.
