Hi,

Why the character '|' is converted to '%7C' in URLs ?

Exemple :
libwww-perl send :

GET http://www.lycos.fr/cgi-bin/nph-bounce?LIA14%7C/service/sms/
HTTP/1.0

And the server reply a 404 not found error.

Other agent like netscape send:

GET http://www.lycos.fr/cgi-bin/nph-bounce?LIA14|/service/sms/ HTTP/1.0

And the server reply OK.

Is '|' an invalid character in URL or is it a bug in liwww-perl ?
