HTTP/1.1 in header?

Hi.

I know that libwww doesn't do HTTP/1.1, but I'd like to use it to send
requests of the form 'GET / HTTP/1.1' . I handle the resulting 1.1
response myself.

Here's what I did to make this happen...

In LWP::Protocol::http.pm, with Id of:

    # $Id: http.pm,v 1.50 2000/05/24 09:41:13 gisle Exp $

Around line 124, I modified ..

#ifdef NEWSTUFF
    my $proto="HTTP/1.0";
    $proto = $request->protocol if ($request->protocol);

    my $request_line = "$method $fullpath $proto$CRLF";
#else /* OLDSTUFF */
#    my $request_line = "$method $fullpath HTTP/1.0$CRLF";
#endif

Now, I can set $request->protocol($version) in my app.

Any chance of getting this committed?

(Sorry for lack of diff.)

Thank you very much.

-James
