En op 10 oogstmaand* 2002 sprak Yorkshireman Piers Cawley:

Do you speak like the farmers in "All Creatures Great and Small"?
However unlikely it may be that Piers is a beautiful speaker
of the English language, he is certainly a beautiful writer
of it, his Perl 6 summaries at www.perl.com being both a joy
and an inspiration. See, for example:
 http://www.perl.com/pub/a/2002/07/p6pdigest/20020805.html

BTW, I often imagine the accent (and clothing) of posters to
this list: a classic Dutch accent (and wooden shoes) for Ton
and Eugene; a sophisticated French accent (and tuxedo) for
Dr Shampoo; a thick Scottish accent (and kilt) for Jonathan
E Paton, to name just a few. If I were ever to meet any of
these fine peeps in the flesh, of course, I may be bitterly
disappointed.
