Fellow TPR Golfers,

For future TPR golf courses, I think it should be more clear what
constitutes a "Beginner" vs. a "Veteran". Currently, it's ambiguous in
that it could mean:
    * veteran programmer
    * veteran Perl programmer
    * veteran Perl Golfer
I, for example, am the first two but not the third. I chose "Veteran"
because my ego said said I could compete on that board :-) but I can see
someone easily making a mistake and being stuck with too easy/too hard
competition. Right now there is no easy way for a golfer to change
which board he/she is on. Perhaps, a beginner should be allowed to
promote himself to veteran mid-game (but certainly not the other
direction, or abuse will happen) and a note on the submit page could say
something like "If you are unsure if you are a beginner or a veteran,
choose beginner. You can change to veteran later if you like."

Just some thoughts...
/dev/null me if this has already been discussed. I'm new to fwp and
have only read the mail archives a few weeks back.

Chris
