I don't know how it'll be resolved, I'm just sitting on the bench
and nattering. But I would like to clarify my position a bit.

I don't have a strong opinion about whether writing perl6 in perl,
in some other meta-language, yet to be invented, which might be
written in perl, or directly in a low-level language (I assume
that's what you meant by LLL, since you follow with:) like C.

The point I was attempting to touch on was that if we _do_ wish to
write perl6 in perl (or in other specification languages, themselves
implemented in perl), then I would argue that the dialect of perl
that we should write in should be perl5, at least until and unless
perl6 gets so far past the simple bootstrapping that time comes to
actually retire perl5.
