This thread needs to stop now.

Everything that can possibly be said on both sides of this
question has already been said, many times over, on clpm
and other places.  If you're not familiar with all the arguments,
go bone up.  If someone still feels that Perl should have an
obfuscation feature, she should get used to the idea that her
desire may well be frustrated.

However -- if one believes that compiling to binary object code
is sufficient for obfuscation (which is delusional, btw), then
she can take comfort in the fact that this may be a goal of the
Perl6 project, although for different reasons.
