Calling PHP web component from Perl

Hello,

I'm pretty new at Perl and PHP, and I was wondering if anyone could
help me figure out how to call and pass parameters to a PHP script
from a Perl script, and how to return values from the PHP component
back to the Perl script. I'm trying to make heads or tails of the
Soap::Lite package, but haven't had any luck. Any help is appreciated.
