Hi,

As a (motivated) beginner with some the basics I can write small text
manipulation scripts and also doing some of up to including intermediate
cgi Perl localhost Apache sometimes also on Unix server

Thus I hope I within scope this list

What I seek:

ability use perl for purpose/task as a substitute email client on my
Windows W2k OS PC. (my email software app & ISP stuff been a pain lately)

while currently logged onto dialup ISP # 2 I need to retrieve my email
from a different ISP, ISP # 1

Thus while logged onto my dialup ISP_2 where mail.myisp2.com resides I
need to retrieve my email from ISP_1 where mail.myisp1.com resides

Is such a task possible/practical with Perl? If so, with a bit of help, I
think I can grasp it.

What Perl module(s)? Pointers?

Thanks! Alan.
