And we can always think of a scheme for codenames, and have that
scheme be the theme for perl6.

Hmm, if perl5 was the Camel in the desert, perhaps perl6 should adopt
a coral reef/Caribbean/tropical theme.  Component and release names
like:
  Bermuda (perhaps name 6.0, 6.2, etc. after countries?)
  Umbrella (from the drinks)
  Tan
  Coral
  Clown Fish
  Anemone (guaranteed that 20% of people will be able to spell it)
  Nautilus
  Crown of Thorns
  Atoll

This iconography has many plus sides:
  marketing: it is a more positive image than the Camel
  travel: much more fun to organize a perl6 conference in the Bahamas
  creative: lots of interesting names to pick from
  vivid: lots of good images for book covers and t-shirts
