To sum up: "Orthoginality can blow me, detainting without filtering should remain hard." This doesn't mean we shouldn't have a way to untaint a data source. It can be convenient and definately more efficient than other sources. It should just be deliberately obfuscated and buried (say, like in a man page. Nobody reads those.)
