[perl #52726] [BUG]: 'make' failure on Darwin: possibly PGE-related

Last night I reported that I was unable to complete 'make' on Linux.   
We thought we had a fix for that today, but that turns out not to be  
the case.

Tonight I report a somewhat similar failure:  'make' is not  
completing for me on Darwin.  Only this time the problem appears to  
be PGE-related.  See build log attached.
