One of the things I've noticed is that p6l has been tending to leach
all conversation into itself, even things that more sensibly belong in
this group. This is mainly because people get worried when we talk
about language issues on this list instead of the other, even though
the two lists have almost entirely the same set of people anyway. :-/
But in p6l, there's not really a focus on the very narrow,
first-things-first aspects that we've historically tried to do, meaning
only about a third of those conversations are really useful from a
rigorous standards/language documentation point of view. A related
corollary is that the conversations on p6l seldom seem to reach a
useful conclusion.
If anyone has a solution to this, I'd love to hear it. It seems
impossible to coax p6l into a disciplined, decision-making[*] list, and
it seems impossible to have a disciplined, decision-making list here
without freaking people out who don't want to write docs, but don't
want to be left out of the loop either.

[*] "decision-making" meaning deciding what we need to ask the design
team to clarify, not actually deciding anything. :-)
