Not sure if 6 years is fair, as no-one replied in that time.

However, the OP hasn't replied in the two months since you wrote the first
reply, which is a while.


It trouble me that we're sort of making policy up as we go along, but not
recording it anywhere. I feels more to me that this is "stalled", as it
looks like a valid bug that may still be a bug, but we're not able to make
progress on it.
