It seems that connectivity to perl5.git.perl.org was lost about 06:26 this
morning. Hence http://perl5.git.perl.org/perl.git is unreachable.

It seems to be a connectivity problem, not a problem with the machine(s) as
users.perl5.git.perl.org lost external connectivity about 03:30, but was
still up and reachable from perl5.git.perl.org until that machine went away.
No ETA yet on when it might be back.

However, timing is "perfect", as the current code is now spreading round CPAN:

http://www.cpan.org/modules/by-authors/id/A/AB/ABIGAIL/perl-5.15.9.tar.bz2

Why not install that and test your CPAN and darkpan code with it.
Only <mumble> more bug reporting days until Christmas^W5.16.0 :-)

So, hardware enforced code freeze - distributed version control for the
(local) win.
