At the time, it seemed like a nice idea, which is why I included it in Perl::OSType. But I think for Perl::OSType, I'll remove families. If someone chooses to implement Perl::OSFamily (or just use Devel::CheckOS), that can be done outside core since none of the core modules need that. Thank you to everyone who weighed in on this.
